Teenage labor force participation continues to decline

In our June 2005 article, Where have the teenage workers gone?, we reported on the declining number of available teenage workers. Data is now in for the month of July 2005, and the decline continues. In July 2005, only 53.0% of 16- to 19-year-olds were in the labor force. That is a decline from 53.6% in July 2004.
