We are seeing an increasing interest in the development of Christian family entertainment centers in the U.S. We recently completed a site evaluation and preliminary market and economic feasibility study for a proposed for-profit Christian Family Lifestyle Center in the greater Houston area that will not only include major family entertainment center components and a destination restaurant, but also a Christian book and products store and a fitness/health center.
The Christian market is large: 77% of American adults identify themselves as Christians and approximately two-thirds of those say they are members or affiliated with a place of worship. LBEs that specifically target Christian values, which correspond closely with what are commonly referred to as family values, can have great appeal in the current climate.
