Silverlake Family Recreation Center in the southern suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio, is now launching what is best termed as a rebirth of the entire facility.
Earlier this year, our company completed the renovation plans for the facility. The $2 million renovation project is now underway. The locker areas will be expanded five-fold and will include new sauna and steam rooms, private shower and changing facilities, upscale décor, towel service and direct access to the pool area. Also included will be four private family locker rooms with showers, kids' toilet and urinal, handicapped-accessible toilet and changing station for infants.
But the Silverlake rebirth doesn't end there. The whole facility is being reconfigured to allow for more programming and leagues, with an eye toward the whole family. In addition to a new lobby and Club Café with seating area, Silverlake is also creating a new Aquatics Center, complete with new Hydrorider bikes and classes; a 100-foot Aqua Adrenaline Slide; new Spray/Splash Kids Adventure House; and a 30,000-gallon warm water therapy/exercise spa complete with hot tub. The Kid's Club is also being expanded with a soft-contained play structure to accommodate up to 80 kids and an arts and crafts area.
Our company has been working with Silverlake Family Recreation Center
and its affiliated health club, Better Bodies, for the past three years on
upgrading and expanding the facilities. Based on findings and recommendations
from the market analysis our company originally performed, Silverlake's
current and future improvements will position the facility as a family destination
with a wide range of recreation, educational and edutainment offerings. Emphasis
will be on attracting mothers and their children.
