Comfort in going out; there's still a way to go

In the past year, people have become far more comfortable going out to entertainment venues, sporting events, restaurants, and parties/social events. But there are still a lot of Americans who don't feel comfortable at public places. This is likely not solely due to Covid-19 but also to the flu and a general fear of diseases. Some of these are people with high vulnerability to viruses and illness. Some people may now just be permanently wary of public activities.

The most significant share of people is comfortable at restaurants (80%). Surprisingly, the comfort attending an amusement park has a lower comfort level (66%) than going-to-the movies (70%), as an amusement park is predominately an outdoor activity with a far lower risk of catching some disease than sitting indoors in a crowded movie theater for two hours or more. But then again, whoever said people are logical?
