Google Maps is the go-to app for two-thirds of mobile app users. Now Google has launched new B2C (business-to-consumer) features in its Google My Business app that will have great value to community leisure venues (CLVs) for promoting their venues and engaging with consumers.
The updated app, which allows businesses to create and manage their profiles on Google Maps, is part of Google's plan to expand Google Maps beyond just navigation. Here's the two new features:
The new Post button enables businesses to upload photos to their profiles and create special offers and events for consumers to see on their business profile.
Consumers can chat with each other within the app rather than as in the past having to leave Google Maps and open a new app to SMS.
