After a slight uptick in births in 2021, births continued their decline in 2022 with 3,661,220 births according to provisional data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That's about 3,000 below 2021's count and about 655,000 fewer births than the peak of 4.32 million in 2007.
This trend does not bode well for the long-term prospects for children's entertainment centers and family entertainment centers (FEC), which target families with children, as their overall market sizes will continue to decrease.
