New hybrid entertainment center opens

We're seeing all types of new combinations of recreation and entertainment appearing in community leisure centers (CLVs). One of the more unique ones is the newly opened 41,000-square-foot HeadzUP in Las Vegas, off the strip in Boulevard Mall. It features:

  • A trick art museum
  • 6 different escape rooms
  • Cornhole, including leagues
  • Archery arrow tag - similar to dodgeball, but with arrows
  • DIY workshops where you drink wine while you do things like create wood signs, create a terrarium or do painting
