Considering that 42% of Americans didn't take a single vacation day last year, it's interesting to see how more than half of all age groups in the U.S. say they're completely or fairly satisfied with the amount of leisure time they have based, on a survey by GfK.
The leisure time satisfaction of U.K. residents is similar.
Of all 22 countries that GfK surveyed, the U.S., Canada and U.K. had the highest percentage of people who are satisfied with the amount of leisure time they have. That's quite surprising when you compare those three countries with many Western European countries where people have so much more vacation time, such as Germany and Spain with 34 days a year, France with 31 days and Belgium with 30.
