The
best customers are often overlooked. The entertainment industry seems to live
and die on the whims of teenagers and young adults. Yet the 2000 Consumer
Expenditure Survey reveals that 55 to 64 year old adults are the biggest per
capita spenders on entertainment. The per capita spending for this age group
is 25% higher than average. On average, 55 to 64's annual per capita spending
was $931 on all types of entertainment and $242 on fees and admissions.
