The U.S. Department of Labor reports that 35% of employed people did some or all of their work at home on days they worked in 2023. This is higher than the 24% of workers who did so in 2019 before the pandemic.
The percentage of women slightly outnumbered men.
More than half of adults age 25+ with a bachelor's or higher degree did some or all of their work at home.
Households with an adult with a bachelor's or higher degree account for almost three-quarters of all spending at out-of-home entertainment and art venues. They are now at home more on weekdays than pre-pandemic. This creates the opportunity to capture their business on weekdays, especially since they don't have commuting time in the late afternoon/early evening.
