Today with the Internet and social media we have many more entertainment options then even ten years ago. As our Frugality article in this issue pointed out, even visiting and posting on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter is now considered a form of entertainment by 88% of social network users.
With so many options, we now have to make more hard decisions on how we will spend our limited leisure time. And location-based entertainment venues are definitely competing for a chuck of that time. That is why our company is continually researching changes to Americans’ disposable leisure time as well as their disposable dollars.
