LOW SIDS MORTALITY RATE IN HONG KONG

The SIDS mortality rate in Hong Kong is three times lower than in the U.S. SIDs expert Peter Fleming, Ph.D., at the Royal Hospital for Children in the U.K. says, "Infants up to six months old in Hong Kong are virtually never left alone. They sleep in their parents' room, smoking rates in homes are low, and the babies are never put down on their stomachs to sleep."
