Arkansas Human Development Head Start, Hot Springs, Arkansas, December 2009
A three-hour training session, “Green Goes with Everything -- How to Create Healthier Environments for Young Children,” was provided by Vicki Stoecklin, Education and Child Development Director, for Early Head Start and state agency child development staff on how to safeguard young children’s health. Participants received a resource CD on creating and maintaining healthy environments. Vicki started her early childhood career in Head Start, so she was thrilled to once again train Early Head Start and Head Start staff. She was even able to “take the waters” by partaking in a mineral bath with hot water from the national park. One of her fond childhood memories was visiting these baths with her grandmother 50 years ago!
