First Steps, Spartanburg, South Carolina
Provided on-site visits and technical assistance to First Steps providers who are working on NAEYC accreditation. Included doing pre-visit work between the director and staff as well as follow up with the First Steps staff on an outdoor improvement plan. In addition, an all-day training session was provided for Directors on designing or redesigning outdoor space, and two sessions were provided for teachers on how to use the outdoor environment.
Mueller Family, Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Provided an on-site visit to a family home in the Grand Teton Mountains in Jackson Hole. This is my second visit to this beautiful setting, and if you have not yet seen this part of the U.S., I highly recommend a trip. Created a family playroom for the Mueller children that will include a gross motor wall, pretend village, arts and crafts center, construction area, children's living space and fantastic library.

Completed the construction drawings and specified the furniture for a children's play café that will open this fall. Plans include a changing dramatic play area, performance space, art studio, water table, train table and infant/toddler play space.

Working on designs to convert a former 48,000-square-foot retail store at the luxury Nemacolin Woodlands Resort into a multi-generational entertainment complex.
Silverlake Family Recreation Center, Erlanger, Kentucky
Assisting the client with feasibility and projections for an outdoor water park addition and working on feasibility and preliminary designs for a 50,000-square-foot building addition to incorporate family entertainment, a restaurant, children's enrichment workshops and celebration facilities for this popular Northern Kentucky 70,000-square-foot fitness, health, recreation and swim club. Part of our work includes the re-branding of Silverlake Family Recreation Centerto become a multi-faceted family club: Silverlake – The Family Place.
