Well, here we are again in the Dog Days of Summer. Here in Kansas City we are definitely seeing those dog days, with heat indexes going as high as 108 degrees.
It always seems that we get especially busy in the summer. We have three projects under development 0; in the South Puget Sound (see article in this eNewsletter), one in Honolulu, Hawaii and one in Lagos, Nigeria. I just returned from Boise, Idaho where we are working with a farmer who wants to develop an agritourism business. We have six other projects in their planning stages. Last week I was at the Agritainment Study Group's annual retreat with six of the top U.S. agritainment farmers. Next week I'm making my annual visit to Davis Farmland and Davis MegaMaze to evaluate operations and plan for next year's expansion and improvements. The Davis have been our clients now for 22 years. And when you read this I'll be speaking at Lasertron's conference at their new Rochester, NY location. And following that I'm off to Atlanta for our 39th Foundations Entertainment University (there's still time to register with the early bird discount).
Our company is known in the industry for our many paradigm-breaking projects. The location-based entertainment (LBE) industry is undergoing major disruption due to a fast changing society and the accelerating impact of consumer digital technology. Our company has built a reputation for being a voice of disruption, as through our expensive research, we identify many trends that are impacting LBEs of all types. This allows us to future proof our clients' projects while so many other projects are being developed on what worked yesteryear, not what works best today and what will work best in the future. In this Leisure eNewsletter issue, we have a number of articles where we share with you some of the trends we have identified that are impacting the entertainment landscape and as a result, LBEs.
Hope to see some of you at our 39th Foundations Entertainment University in Atlanta in a few weeks.
