Is your LBE venue seeing real revenue growth?
We've read many reports about location-based entertainment venues (LBE), including family entertainment centers (FECs), that show revenue increases. But don't be fooled. What may appear to be an increase might actually be a decrease when inflation is taken into account.
Using full-year averages for the consumer price index, prices increased by 26% between 2019 and 2025. If an LBE's annual revenues increased by less than 26% over that period, it is actually losing ground. To achieve a real increase, taking inflation into account, its revenues would have needed to increase by more than 26%.
