Popular beverage options at favorite restaurants
Fewer than half of adults prefer alcoholic beverages as their main choice when dining out. Millennials and Gen X are much more likely than Baby Boomers or Gen Z to choose an alcoholic drink as their favorite restaurant beverage.

Cocktails are the most popular alcoholic beverage choice, followed by beer and spirits. Not as popular as their alcoholic counterparts, U.S. adults also show interest in non-alcoholic drinks, with about one-third ordering mocktails or NA options.

Adults who order mocktails or NA alternatives (33%) represent a significant segment compared to those who order alcohol (45%). It is essential for location-based entertainment centers that serve alcohol to also provide a wide range of NA options to increase revenue from sober-curious guests.
