The growing number of amusement and theme parks

Since 2013, the number of U.S. amusement and theme parks has increased by 43%, far faster than the 6% increase in the population. Surprisingly, their numbers have increased by 18% since pre-pandemic 2019.

The amusement and theme park industry has become much more competitive since the number of parks is increasing faster than the population.

Amusement and theme park admission fees have not increased to keep up with inflation since pre-pandemic 2019. On average, they have only increased by 15.8% compared to the 23% inflation.
