Park Master Plan and Play & Discovery Center
White Hutchinson has been award a contract by the Lake County Parks Department in Indiana to conduct a feasibility study and develop a master plan for enhancements and expansion of one of their existing parks that features a large lake. A major new component will be a children's play and discovery (edutainment) center with an outdoor adventure play garden. The project is to be funded by revenue bonds underwritten by user fees. Preliminary plans are to develop the park and center with an art and nature theme, including a wetlands discovery area, energy conservation demonstration projects, and public art. When the center is developed, it will be the first public, user-fee supported edutainment center operated by a parks department in America.
