Natural Play and Learning Guidelines Project

The Natural Leaning Initiative at North Carolina State University and the National Wildlife Federal are working on guidelines for natural play areas for public playgrounds, zoos, childcare centers and museums. Project Steering Committee members include the American Association for Physical Activity and Recreation, the Children and Nature Network, the City Park Alliance, the Centers for Disease Control, the American Society of Landscape Architects, National Wildlife Federation, the North American Association for Environmental Education, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Forest Service, the Chicago Park District, the Houston Parks and Recreation Association and the National Association of State Park Directors.
