CREATING INNOVATIVE OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENTS

Our Education & Child Development Director, Vicki Stoecklin, will be providing training to center directors on creating innovative outdoor children's play and learning environments. The two-day session will be held on March 4th and 5th in Peoria, IL. Topics for discussion will include remembering our childhoods, bringing the inside outdoors, safety and supervision, the American's with Disabilities Act, universal design, making nature part of the play experience, inexpensive ideas for outdoor play, and budgeting, to name a few topics. An evening session for teachers will be held on March 4th to look at fun and inexpensive outdoor ideas. Registration priority is given to those centers that are going through the NAEYC accreditation process and then will be opened up to the general public. Registration information can be obtained from our office by contacting Vicki at +1.816.931-1040 or via e-mail (www.whitehutchinson.com/ contact/ vicki_stoecklin/ ) . Vicki is available to train on a variety of topics as they relate to indoor and outdoor children's environments and building design.
