More from our 2025 agritourism participation survey
Over the past three years, our company has conducted a nationwide survey on household participation in agritourism (one or more household members participated). We survey over 1,000 adults in the U.S. each year. We reported on some results of our 2025 participation survey in the last issue (HERE (www.whitehutchinson.com/ news/ agrinews/ 2025/ december/ article104.shtml) ).
Here's the 2025 household participation results for U-pick crops. As in prior years, apple U-pick remains the most popular, with 43.6% participation, followed closely by strawberries. The survey found that less than one in five households (19%) did not participate in any type of U-pick in 2025.

When it comes to crop-based food festivals, strawberry festivals are the most popular, with 42.5% of U.S households attending, followed closely by blueberry festivals. Only 22% of households did not attend any crop-based food festivals in 2025.

We'll be disclosing more 2025 agritourism participation results in the next issue.
