Last year, Randy White, our CEO, organized the first, full-day Rookies & Newcomers Seminar at IALEI's Fun Expo. The seminar covered the A's to Z's of developing and operating an entertainment/leisure business. Despite the seminar being held shortly after 9/11, it still had a great turnout. Attendees raved about how much they learned.
This year the seminar is being expanded to 1.5 days so it can have expanded
coverage of topics as well as cover additional topics.
The balance of the Fun Expo Academy educational program will include 43 different
one and one-half hour seminars given by top industry experts.
The Rookies & Newcomers seminar will be held Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday, September 15-16. Attendance at the Rookies & Newcomers seminar will be limited. The early bird registration fee for IALEI members will be $189 and for non-members, $239.
The other Academy seminars will be held on Wednesday-Friday, September 17-19. In addition to the Newcomers & Rookies seminar, Randy White will be organizing seminars on mazes, school field trips and children's edutainment. New seminars this year will include extreme sports, paintball, driving ranges and skate parks. The trade show will be open Thursday thru Saturday. Fun Expo will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
