PLAYOLOGIST REVISITED

In last month's eNewsletter, we discussed how many people in the entertainment industry are using the designation "playologist" to market themselves as experts on children's play when they have no real qualifications. We apologize for the possible misunderstanding that we were implying that everyone using the playologist title was using it as a bogus credential. The person who originally coined the term playologist, Denise Weston of Creative Kingdoms, more than deserves to use the title as an expert on children's play. Denise is a trained Psychologist with numerous degrees including early childhood education, has written three books and over 75 articles on play and worked with play for over 15 years.
